Day 4 (Tuesday): Team Comments

Jacob says "Guatemala is awesome!  Everyone should come here!  Food is great. Kids are great.  Everything is great.  The rain is great!"

Emily here - updating you in between intense round of Dutch Blitz (a great card game)! Yes, Guatemala is AWESOME.  This morning, Kara and I watched and played with Ethan and some of the kids around here.  Michelle (3) lives with Kendon and Wendy, Melvin (2) lives in the little boy's house, and Canon (almost 1) lives with Stacy and Lee.  It was so great to see the kids playing together - they didn't need a common language to have fun! It was also exciting to have the sun out for awhile! This afternoon I got to see the clinic my mom (Gail) is working in and while Craig, Aaron, and Daniel were finishing up the swings, my mom, Becca, Jacob, Linda, and I worked on painting the guard's station. We all had McDonalds for dinner -  a great treat for the kids! While they watched Aladdin (in Spanish, of course), we returned to the lounge and continued our card games. All in all, another great day from Central America. Happy early Guatemalan Army Day!
